Genoa live: port, city and Riviera

Genoa’s webcams show two complementary sides of the city: the port area with the urban centre and the coast at Nervi looking toward the Ligurian Riviera.

The port view helps illustrate the relationship between the city and the sea, while the Nervi view opens onto the eastern coastline. Together they provide a broader picture of current conditions around the Ligurian capital.

The images are useful for checking visibility, sky conditions and the appearance of the sea, as well as for observing everyday activity in the areas covered by the cameras.

History and local identity

Genoa grew around its port and became one of the great maritime republics of the Mediterranean. Its historic centre preserves medieval lanes, noble palaces and churches that reflect the trading relationships built by the city over the centuries.

Nearby

To the east, the Nervi promenade leads toward the Riviera and the Portofino promontory; to the west lie Pegli and historic villas.
