Turin’s urban landscape viewed from the Regio Parco district.
The view lets you follow the sky, visibility and changing light across the urban landscape. It is an everyday perspective on Turin, different from the familiar monumental views of the historic centre.
The live feed is useful for a quick look at current conditions in the city and for seeing how Turin’s atmosphere changes from morning to afternoon and evening.
History, landscape and landmarks that help interpret what appears in the live images.
Founded as Augusta Taurinorum in Roman times, Turin later became the capital of the House of Savoy and, in 1861, the first capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Boulevards, arcades, royal residences and industrial districts reflect the city’s many transformations.
The Basilica of Superga and the Royal Palace of Venaria offer two different perspectives on Savoy history; to the west begin the Susa Valley and the Alps.
The different live views make it possible to compare districts, light, visibility and city movement at the same moment. The guide grows with the archive, keeping each webcam connected to the place it actually shows.
